The northeastern United States is rich in architectural treasures — both historic and contemporary. This is a documentation of some of the region's most noteworthy structures in photographs and brief historical sketches. The purpose of this documentation is to promote appreciation of interesting buildings, and to provide a resource of information and imagery for people living outside the region.

This site is new and not every state of the Northeast is represented yet. In addition, buildings from the 19th century currently predominate. As the site matures, this will change. In time, buildings from Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont will all be featured here, as will more structures from a variety of eras. Please be patient. This is an ongoing project.

Since you're here, why not take a look at the buildings already featured?
